Every Sunday the boy (and his parents) have to deal with an overbearing aunt who comes to dinner and criticizes everything and everyone in the house, until one Sunday when Stinky does something so totally outrageous that the aunt runs away. The large, colorful panels make this a fun read-aloud book, but librarians and other adults should be aware that some panels show Stinky being a normal cat about cleaning himself, and in the last panel Stinky finally uses the litter box.
